This week has been just plain crazy. I came down with a sinus infection that completely wiped me out and then we had Maddy's preschool graduation and a last day of preschool family picnic. Also, had Colby's 15 mo. check-up and shots (which he was not happy about ;-)) Luckily Jeremy was able to go in to work late a few days to help me with the kids in the morning. I never knew a sinus infection could be so bad! I think I've had maybe one before and I don't remember it being like this. I am feeling much better today, but still pretty wiped out.
Needless to say, I am VERY glad it is Friday and hopefully will be back to my old self by next week!!! I am just so thankful Jeremy has some flexibility at work where he can help me out if needed. It really got me through the week!!

Colby Laughing
Maddy loves to tickle Colby and make him laugh -- sometimes I think she doesn't really know how to 'play' with him, so she just tickles him and tries to wrestle around with him -- he loves it, though (well most of the time anyways ;-))!
Mother's Day 2010

Hope all of my fellow Moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday!!! I am so lucky to have such an amazing Mother who raised me right and dedicated her life to raising all 9 of her kids. I appreciate this so much more now that I am a mother and can only imagine all of the hard work, time and patience she must have put in to raising our family -- I am also lucky to have an amazing Mother-in-Law, who is such a blessing to me and so much fun to be around!!!!! I realize how lucky I am and am very thankful.
I had a great day with the family --- started out with sleeping in a little and then breakfast at Mimi's cafe. Great food, even though Colby decdied he wanted nothing to do with going out to breakfast, Maddy and I had a great time eating and talking while Jeremy took Colby out and drove him around ;-) What a great husband!! The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home and then church last night, followed by pizza and Ben and Jerry's ice cream --- very fun day and no cooking involved at all!
I love Mother's Day as it is a day to focus soley on your family and really take time to appreciate your kids and remember what a blessing they are! I am so lucky to have 2 of the best kids!!!! They make me laugh and smile everyday!

I think we've turned a corner.........
As some of you may know Colby has had some difficulty being left in a nursery or really with anyone other than Jeremy or I. We've had babysitters, but he is always in bed by the time we leave so it hasn't really been much of an issue. I've tried off on and to put him in the nursery at the Y, church, etc...and I ALWAYS get paiged to come get him! So, I took a break for awhile and just recently decided to try again. Colby has been doing great this past week! He has been in the church nursery 2 times (for church and Mops) and also the Y nursery 4 times this week for my workouts!!! Granted it is an hour max each time (usually about 45 min.) but I will take it!!! His teething has slowed down some lately as well and I can tell he is feeling much better, so I know this is helping things also. I feel like we have sort of turned a corner with him as it may not sound like a big deal, but for Colby this is HUGE --- I am also loving the fact that I've been able to go to the Y and work-out and don't have to try and fit it in during his nap or at night. Hopefully this will continue!! We are very proud of our little guy for braving it out!!!!!
