So, it's official --- As of today my weight loss challenge is done!!! I have hit that number on the scale that I have been working towards since Nov. 1st --- I am about a week late on my goal (to lose the baby weight by Colby's 1st b-day), but I guess life happens and kids/parents get sick and things sometimes have to wait. I am going to continue my work-out routine, healthy eating, etc...as it just makes me feel so much better --- plus, I don't want to gain back what I worked so hard to lose!
I am thankful that I've had the time to focus on my health this past year -- Hopefully Spring will get here soon and I can actually enjoy working out again by taking walks/runs outside.
The biggest thing I've learned through this diet the past few months is that goals are good to have but sometimes you have to give yourself a break as life happens and it is not always predictable (especially when young kids are involved ;-)) Also, just because you have one bad day/week with working out/eating does not mean you need to give up. You can always make up for that by starting fresh the next day!!

Way to go Tree! Always a good feeling. Right now since John is training for that half-marathon...he is getting all skinny. Of course, I'm putting on the pounds..gotta love it!
ReplyDeleteTree..I'm so proud of you! You have given me incentive to lose my last 5 lbs of baby weight too. :) Hopefully giving up sweets for Lent & training for a 10K in May will do the trick. You are my inspiration! :)
